Virtual Wine Tasting

 Directions

Don't forget to have a seperate glass for each wine you pour!

Join AIWF for a Virtual Tasting of 3 wines curated by Sommelier and AIWF Board Member Nelson Escalante at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 12 on Zoom!

Here's how it works!  You sign up like you would for a regular event through our website and we will register you for the event and charge a slight $5 processing fee (per household) to help offset our monthly costs.  At that time, you will be emailed the Zoom code.  You can then call Auburn Spirits (see details below) and order the wines for pick-up prior to the event no later than Monday, May 11.

At 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, log onto the Zoom meeting and have your wine open and ready to pour.  Nelson will lead us through the tasting offering tips for tasting, suggestions and pairings.

Nelson, a Level 2 Certified Sommelier, who will be testing for the Certified Specialist of Wine this fall, has a long history in Wichita's food and beverage industry.  From his time in restaurants to working as a bartender at Chester's Chophouse, the Head Bartender at Newport Grill and the Restaurant Manager and Wine Director at Siena Tuscan Steakhouse he logged more than 22 years in F&B before becoming a Wine & Spirits Rep for LDF Sales and Distributing.  And now he's sharing his love of wine with AIWF!
