Sokol Blosser
on the Patio @ Larkspur
With Special Guest Jeff Knapp, Sokol Blosser Brand Ambassador
May 13 • 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Members $35/Non-members $40

Join us on the Patio at Larkspur for a sampling of the wines of Sokol
Blosser and light hors d’oeuvres.

When Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser planted their first vines in 1971, they needed all of their youthful self-confidence, energy and determination to make their way because there was no wine industry in Oregon. Today, with more than 300 wineries and more than 13,000 acres of vineyards, Oregon wines are available throughout the world. Sokol Blosser has survived, grown and prospered as a family-owned and run operation, and we are proud to have been part of developing and shaping Oregon's now prominent wine industry. We strive to create wines of world class quality that are produced sustainably, mindful of the environment and your health, and that express the distinctive flavors of our hillside vineyards. Sokol Blosser wines reflect who we are – our values and our sense of place. We hope you enjoy them.

Wines

Evolution
Intense fruit up front and a crisp, clean finish. This unique white is truly a parade of flavors across the palate. The nine grapes tie together perfectly, creating a smooth,
layered white wine that can hold its own or stand up to just about any food pairing you dare to serve it with. It is extraordinarily food-friendly, from light salads to the hottest fusion-style cuisine.

Meditrina
There is a core of rich, lush berry from the Syrah. The Zinfandel
provides spice, tannin and structure.  And the Pinot Noir brings flowers, earth and elegance. It all adds up to a luscious, juicy, easy-drinking mouthful of red wine that's both bright and vibrant yet round and soft.

Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
This wine is delicate and elegant – soft, supple, harmonious, and already showing layers of complexity. Flavors and aromas are of mocha, black cherry, and raspberry, and our distinctive Jory soil forest-floor earthiness is beginning to show through. It’s drinking beautifully now and should age well and develop additional complexity
for at least the next five to 10 years.

Pinot Gris
This wine is showing plenty of development and complexity – mineral, stony, earth, and spice aromas, with flavors of apricot, peach, and fig. The mouthfeel is both crisp and very rich, concentrated, and creamy, with a long, lush finish.
